Dreamscapes
Bowes Museum - Barnard Castle, County Durham. Saturday 25th May 2013 - Sunday 1st September 2013
An innovative exhibition of photographs by Tim Walker, revealing how this leading fashion photographer is a significant artist with roots in traditions of English landscape painting.
Curated by Greville Worthington, this exhibition will explore Walker’s work beyond the pages of Vogue and Vanity Fair, showing influences from British Surrealism, and a unique Neo-Romantic take on a particularly English aesthetic.
For the first time, Walker’s images will be displayed in light boxes, which give a new quality of drenched colour to the images.

Aritzia - TNA, Summer 2013
The motto this season? We play our way. Effortless and always authentic, this season is about a mashing of influences—from looks borrowed from ‘80s skate culture, to utilitarian workwear with military detailing, to sport-inspired pieces, it’s all about a borrowed-from-the-boys aesthetic with a distinctively feminine twist.
overview
Touch Digital was set up in 1999 by Graeme Bulcraig to provide a digital alternative to conventional darkroom hand printing. Our initial client base shot fashion and advertising images on negative film and we were in demand to scan and retouch (or print) these images. The rapid progression of digital technologies into the industry has kept us evolving over the last 13 years. We still print and retouch for a wide variety of photographic clients, from digital hand printing of film (scanning, colour work in Photoshop, and cmyk approval proofing), through to complicated multi part composites and montages.

April 2013
Now that we finally have 50Mb un-contended fibre at touch, most files will be sent via link to the direct file on our own server. This massively speeds up the process of us sending clients any size image or video files. We have found in testing that our own in house server is even faster than you downloading a link from 'You send it' or 'WeTransfer' services. The benefit for you is that you can receive download links straight away, rather than having to wait for us to first upload the file to the third party service.
Also, clients are able to upload files directly to us much quicker and more reliably.
Please contact us for more information and/or a dedicated account on our FTP server.CHRISTMAS OPENING TIMES

Touch Moves To Perseverance Works
March 2012So, year 13 in the life of touch digital and we have now made the biggest expansion in our modest life. Philippe Malouin and the Post Office crew have transformed a beautiful, spacious but actually slightly impractical 1st floor open plan warehouse into a stunning, modern 2000sq ft retouching studio. We have only been here for a few weeks, and still settling into the space, but all staff and clients seems to be loving the new space. A few struggles with BT phones and a relatively lousy broadband are the only teething problems. We have been tinkering with the new gadgets and trying to keep up with Apple's attempts to keep us buying new gear every few weeks. We are still installing the last few bits of new gear including a whole new batch of Eizo CG245W monitors, an Epson 11880 64" printer and some totally souped up MacPros, whilst juggling a busy schedule of retouching, scanning and printing workflow. Thanks to everyone involved for the hard work, and to Perseverance Works for making us feel welcome. Handed in the keys to Rivington Street today with a slight sadness - will miss the Friday night early evening buzz from the Barley Mow and Bricklayers down below beckoning us down for a quick pint after work. Looking forward to the next 10 years of touch at Unit 18C.
New Staff
March 2012Touch welcomes our latest member of staff Kaoru Rose as Assistant Retoucher. Kaoru speaks fluent japanese and her favourite animal is a squirrel.
New Site Goes Live
March 2012New website live. Thanks to David over at sister company Potter & Web for all the late nights to get our new site live. We have tried to create a new simple site that shows off the beauty of the photography that we work on. We will try to keep it up to date along with our blog and twitter account. We have also refined our branding to say "touch" - everyone knows we are digital. Hope it all makes sense and that we managed to get all credits correct in time. Over the past few years, touch was making websites for photographers and other creative businesses under the "touch me" brand. We decided late in 2011 to create a sister business focused solely on website design, creation and branding for creative industry. If you are a photographer, agent, brand or creative considering a new site, please give David or Graeme a call to discuss. www.potterandweb.com
